Help!!!!

I finally got both my sub( 15" tc9) and my amp (rockford fosgate 225.2) and I went to put it all in and I turned it on and my sub isn't working. I know my sub works cause I have tested it out on 2 other amps plus hooked it up to my normal speakers just to make sure it was still working. I have a shosche wiring kit. power wire from battery to fuse block. From fuse block to distro block. From distro block to amp. Then I have my ground from the amp to the nut on the chassis. I have the rem wire wrapped around the post where it is and hooked up to the cd player. I have the rca blue to positive white to negative and connected the same way to the amp. I have the sub wired to 4 ohms ( - to +, + to + on amp, - to - on amp). I even tried just wiring it into 1 channel of the amp and still nothing. I just orded the amp from Xavierracing, he is also selling a broken one could have it been possible that he just shipped the broken one istead of the working one? I can take pictures if you think I did my wiring wrong. Please anything that I did that I could try and see if it works please let me know. When I turned my car on the amp led light didn't come on so Im thinking its either with the wire or the amp.

does the light on the amp come on indicating it is getting power? is it in protect mode?

Not that I know of. The led light doesn't bright up or at least from what I can see. How could I know if it was in protect mode?

the protect light would come on. do you know how to set your gains using a dmm? if so use the dmm to see if any output is coming from the amp

I don't have a dmm, Is there any other way?

idk check all your fuses

Buy a DMM. It will be helpful in everything car audio for the rest of your life. It will also help us, and you, diagnose the problem.

Yes. I digital Multimeter.

digital multi meter. usually under $20 at walmart. now leave and don't come back till you have one

Ok so I hooked up the +and - leads from the dmm to the power and ground wires connected to the amp and then I put the dmm on 50 dvc power and the needle moved 3/4 the way up. No idea what this means, car was running.

that's not a digital multimeter. no idea what to tell ya. did you rean the gain setting tutorial?
