ahhhh i stand corrected although i thought hdtv was either 720p or 1080i. it's all good i'm picking up my 55" Sony Grand Wega SXRD //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. convinced the fiance it was better than the 3LCD so she said ok.
just so you and others know
DVD IS NOT HIGH DEFINITION ITS ONLY 480P
not saying you dont know but just incase i know i didnt know a couple of months back
so what game system do you have? or do you plan on buying the ps3?
if you have teh xbox 360 i recomend getting the hd-dvd add on its 199 comes with king kong hd-dvd and a media remote
im buying one on tuesday since my hd-dvd player broke this week and it will probably take 2 weeks to get it fixed but just incase if it breaks again ill have the add on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif
and hd-dvd is superior to anything ive ever seen. cable hd,over the air hd
blue ray can look as good just it seems to be a hit and miss thing sometimes it looks good sometimes so so sometimes crap. they seem to be getting their stuff together but not quite yet. "movie wise"
oh yah blue ray is 1080p samsung $1000 panasonic $1200
the new hd-dvd toshiba xa2 is 1080p also $1000
so is the xbox 360 add on but the add on only has component output no hdmi $199
while both the toshiba and blue ray players have hdmi
but if you can live with 1080i the toshiba is 500 (a1 or a2)compared to blue ray players costing 1000+ besides the ps3 wich is a good deal but its gonna be extremely hard getting your hands on one for a couple of months
