Hdc3 10 box and aero ports question

Right now this truck has a 15" Q in a 2cuft box and the passenger seat is almost all the way forward. The box angles back and is about 17 inches wide on the bottom and 7 inches wide on the top. I have room to go sub up. Even if the box is 12 inches wide he'll be gaining room which is what he wants. But with the sub facing forward I could make the box around 9" wide. So I guess ill go with whatever is louder.

different trucks will work better different ways

just try it out different ways and find out wats best or find a smiliar setuo on here and see how they liked it and do it that way

I always do sub forward, port to the side. But, I do SPL and have to stay under the window line. Plus, my ports are external.
Thats the way I was originally going to do it because Ill be using external aeros as well. But everyone thus far has told me port up is louder. I guess Ill have to experiment and see whats best.

I'm pretty sure that TommyK told me that there wasn't much of difference (in his truck) with firing the port to the side vs. up. But, you don't really know until you bust out the meter and test it.
