Hdc3 10 box and aero ports question

My buddy is lookin at running a 10" Hdc3 in his reg cab ranger. For the box in his truck im thinkin sub up port drivers side. Probably lookin at 1.5cuft and I want to tune with aero ports. Should I do one 6" or Two 4"? Were gonna try to have two different sets of ports so it can sound good for daily and still be able to put up on the meter. Where can I buy aero ports?

and i would just go with one 4"

the rule for port area is 12-16inches of port per cube and u can get away with half that with aeros so 1 4" aero will give u 12.56" of port area, and i would do sub forward towards the front of the truck and port passanger side might be the best

I heard Tommyk used 1 4" aero on his ten in a daily box and he got alot of port noise. Thats why I decided against only one. I know about the rule I just have never used aero ports before so Im looking for others opinions.

i am only using one 6" aero in my 5.2cuftnet bo tuned to 33hz for 2 12's l7's and have no port noise

then just go one 6" aero

I have a 4cube box for 4 10''s. with 2 4" Precision Ports... Sounds great.. no port noise what so ever.. sounds killer.

some people that had reg cabs said that port up was louder

partsexpress.com 4"s are on sale, 12.50 a piece.... I have 2 3" precision ports i can sell you.

I think that would be cooler but then I have to change 2 ports instead of one when I want to make it a fart box.

I have searched for the best box configuration in a reg cab and I can not come up with much. I think Ill go with sub up, port to the side at first and see what happens. I might go sub forwards to Im not sure yet. Its between those two because I want the passenger to have the most space possible. What do you think will be louder?

yea most deff i searched and found port up is louder in reg cab trucks

and as far as sub up how wide is the box gonna be behind the seat u wont have any room
