HD3 box designs.

I have an 18" firing up and am switching to 12s firing forward. in a trunk you can actually get louder with a 12 firing forward than a 15 firing up, it doesnt work like a hatch or suv in a trunk.

any theory to this? i believe you, i just like to know why it works that way i may be able to apply it to another situation...

this is the box thats in there right now. its plenty big and theres still TONS of room. thus the reason i origionally thought i could fit a 15.

All has to do with cancellation and how sound responds to the structure of the car

Well DJ came through with a sick box design for the HD3 and i ordered the driver last night. its off to pick up the MDF to get this baby going. im hoping to have a decent amount done tonight so ill post some pictures.

BTW can a mod move this to the enclosure forum? i dont know how i put it in here...

Got all the pieces cut. i have the most ghetto rigged work show on the planet. its taking super long to make sure every piece is cut to exact measurements when you dont have a table saw. hopefully i get this all done and i can get some pictures up tonight.
