Q vs D9 vs ?

Nothing Is Promised
I am not really pleased with my Q10. It is running off XT2000D (1000W @1ohm). The enclosure is supposed to be 1cf tuned to 28Hz ported through my rear deck. I can tell it's a little short of 1cf final after displacements.

I am considering selling the Q for a new sub(s). I need an SQ sub. The D9 catches my eye. The 12D2 version.

Subs I have owned:

(1) W10GTi

(1) 12VQ

(1) SE10

(3) GTO804

(1) Q10D2

The GTi was off only 550W and dominates this sub in every single category so far. I am sure the Q can get louder but so far it's not with literally twice the power. OF course the GTi is a helluva lot more efficient than the Q but yeah.

So basically, I am looking for a nice 10/12" or a pair of 10's.

I was trying to go with a non-mainstream company. So far no luck.
Well, if you budget isn't limited all that much...I'd look at a Rainbow Vanadium, Aura NS, or SI Mag as mentioned //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well whatever I end up with is gonna be off the XT-2000D so it needs to have a final load of 1ohm.

Where can I look into the Vanadium and NS? I've only grazed over some Rainbow and Aura stuff before, never used.

DQ as in Infinity? If so, I have already owned one. Was very pleased but I'd have to find two of the 10DVQ's to get a 1ohm load which *technically* is too much for them but I know they can handle it.

And those NS's are out of my budget. I have the money but just would rather spend like $250. Like sell my Q and get a new one, possibly trade?

no DQ like the restaurant:naughty: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

how long have you had the Q? i hear they need about a month to break in and then they start to sound much better
Been running it about three weeks now. My 12VQ off 100W sounded better than this S"Q" sub so far.

I am really wanting to build a new enclosure and try it out.
