yes, just using 2 XXX subs and suporting them with MDF board....

I just remembered seeing something like what you posted, and did a quick search.

I would imagine that there would be some loading issues though.

well if i risk blowing stuff up ill just make a normal box with lots of plexi.

You could sort of make that design, if you make the whole thing out of fiberglass. Make the rings at the end where the tubes are and stretch your fabric down over the frame you have made. It would be pretty ugly and look like a huge staph infection in your trunk, but whatever.
