Having trouble installing Pioneer MVH-1400NEX into 09' F150 XLT

My buddy and I spent about 8 hours today trying to get my head unit turned on.

We eventually found out that the red (ignition) wire has absolutely no power.

I was using This Wiring Harness (https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...fd3/12005354-P?searchTerm=stereo wire harness)

and it absolutely wouldn't turn on. Yellow (constant) and Black (ground) worked fine.

What could be the problem, & how do we fix it?

Was the ignition turned on to accessory? I've had that type of experience. No fun. An option is to follow the power wire to the ignition switch, and check the power there. If you have power there, -tap or splice a wire from there to the radio.

Was your key in the ignition and turned to the on or start position. The accessory position is usually the position just before the crank position. I've had that experience.
