Having a problem with my Pioneer deh-80prs

Just tried to use the auto eq/ta mic for the first time. Whenever you plug in the mic the HU starts to act up, you cant access any of the menus anymore.

Sooo did you you turned the head unit off and held down the EQ button then it starts happening, or does it just happen anytime you plug mic into the head unit?

You're plugging the mic in on the front panel? The rear mic port is actually for the Bluetooth mic.

Yes I understand that, but the issues he's having coincide with the problems that are experienced when plugging the eq mic into the microphone port.

Just got it working, i had it plugged into the mic port in the back of the headunit. Just tried plugging it in to the front port (which i assumed was only for aux) and it worked!

Is it possible i did some harm to the HU by plugging the mic into the wrong port?
