and his name was you.
hey man, they were the cheapest way i could go without going to bestbuy, radioshack, and any other exorbitantly expensive caraudio shop in my area. i got them for like 70 bucks apiece at wal-mart and did all the work myself and saved a bunch of money. i knew they weren't the best, but i didn't want the best, i wanted something different and cheap. my two jensen 12s weren't loud enough, so i stepped it up to some sonies. maybe when i get some money, i will just get 2-13w7s and i won't have to buy another speaker again for the rest of my life. until then, i am pleased as punch with my 4 sonies. due to the fact that i have 4 of them, i don't have to push them as hard to make them sound good(cause there's 4), and i benefit with better sound quality. i really wish you guys wouldn't knock sonies unless YOU have owned them and KNOW that they absolutey ****, i don't care what jimbob, your uncles brothers cousin heard about sonies, i want to know if you have owned them and actually tried to make them work. i admit that they aren't the best subs out there, but if wal-mart is your only choice, they are the best of the best next to the new Road Gear 15's. so in conclusion, my system was quite inexspensive, it sounds good TO ME (and that's all that ****in' matters!), and none of you guys have heard it, so i guess you really shouldn't judge me UNLESS: 1. you live in orlando and would like to hear my system 2. i get it metered and find out i am hitting like 90dbs. so until then, leave sony alone. they are good entry-level subs that sound better than quite a few other crappy subs out there.
so let me get thist straight...you spent over $280 on 4 sony subs. AND, how much for the amp??? Prolly less than $200...maybe 150? ANYWAYZ...for that price...and at the time you bought them...you could have gotten 2 15" ed k's and a jbl600.1 ! then put them in a large ported box...5 cubes tuned to 35hz...and WANG! instantly better than you sony SHIT! and yes...i've owned one before...local shop had 12's for $19.95 a while back, so i bought one and actually tested it out, then BLEW IT on my 600.1....ha ha. but, if ur happy...with crappy stuff, then i wish you the best! peacehey man, they were the cheapest way i could go without going to bestbuy, radioshack, and any other exorbitantly expensive caraudio shop in my area. i got them for like 70 bucks apiece at wal-mart and did all the work myself and saved a bunch of money. i knew they weren't the best, but i didn't want the best, i wanted something different and cheap. my two jensen 12s weren't loud enough, so i stepped it up to some sonies. maybe when i get some money, i will just get 2-13w7s and i won't have to buy another speaker again for the rest of my life. until then, i am pleased as punch with my 4 sonies. due to the fact that i have 4 of them, i don't have to push them as hard to make them sound good(cause there's 4), and i benefit with better sound quality. i really wish you guys wouldn't knock sonies unless YOU have owned them and KNOW that they absolutey ****, i don't care what jimbob, your uncles brothers cousin heard about sonies, i want to know if you have owned them and actually tried to make them work. i admit that they aren't the best subs out there, but if wal-mart is your only choice, they are the best of the best next to the new Road Gear 15's. so in conclusion, my system was quite inexspensive, it sounds good TO ME (and that's all that ****in' matters!), and none of you guys have heard it, so i guess you really shouldn't judge me UNLESS: 1. you live in orlando and would like to hear my system 2. i get it metered and find out i am hitting like 90dbs. so until then, leave sony alone. they are good entry-level subs that sound better than quite a few other crappy subs out there.

nah, i'm just saying that i HAVE used them...i actually tested the one out b/c it was so cheap...but then had fun blowing it! I purposely did it, bud, i know it is way over their rms! But, I'm just saying you shouldn't talk like ur sony stuff is different...it's not...it's still low quality...I encourage you to upgrade. As soon as you can afford it...just don't talk like ur sony's are diff. than any of the other ones that i have heard that are trash. glad your happ with the way urs sound. peaceyou should have told me about the killer deal on the sonies! and of course you blew the sony, max rms power is 200w. and yes, i am happy with shit, so there. paid $100 for the amp. bought all this stuff about a year and a half ago. who's to say i won't buy something better some day? not you guys, that's for sure.
