Has anyone had this problem w/ UPS?

Actually eBay has a checkbox for "Accepts refunds" if you didn't check it then he really can't ask for a refund, or at least you don't have to provide one. As long as you can prove that you really did ship his item and it was delivered.

I may be wrong, but I believe shipping insurance only covers damage incurred during shipping, not theft. There is an option requirng a signature upon delivery, but if it is not purchased at the time of shipment, they will just leave it at thedoor.

As far as UPS is concerned, they have fulfilled their part of the transaction and it is not their job to provide security for the package after it has been delivered.

I friggin' hate UPS. They **** hard.

When I had my Jeep Cherokee I ordered a lift kit. The kit came with brand new rear leaf spring packs. These things were huge.

They lost them. Flat out lost them. How does one do that?

They had to ship out another pair.

UPS FTL.

wow, that is a really nice buyer. hard to find someone like that on eBay. pretty much everyone is looking to make a buck on someone else. hopefully his neighbor has it, and you don't have to deal with UPS. Shipping claims are annoying.

well I came stop stressing out now

"I just went to leave my house and there was the box

sitting on my front steps. I really have no idea who

left it there, but the good news is that I now have

it. I have yet to go see if my neighbor had it. Thanks

again for all you help. I am going to test the units

here in a few and I will get your feedback out to you

asap."

that's good...glad to see that he got the package...me personally, i love ups...since my house is near the ups substation, i usualy get everything by the end of the day, when i'm home from work, but with usps. they come middle of the day, and don't leave shit on tha porch, unless you go thru tha trouble to get them to leave it...just my 2 cents

Here is a fun fact. UPS drivers are union and work for UPS. Fedex drivers are not, they are contractors. A UPS driver leaves a box on a porch and it disappears, he isn't on the hook for it. The Fed Ex guy (ground anyway) it might come out of his pocket. So they are alot more adament when the come doing an investigation.

Both are under DOT rules that limit the amount of time they can be driving a day, and they count lunch towards that goal. They are also fighting against DHL which is partly owned by Deutsch Post (the german post office). So its a race to get as many packages out as fast as they can.

At this point, they make more money doing address verifications than they do shipping packages (as far as gross profit). You forget to type in an apartment number in a shipment and they clip you like $5. Do you think it takes $5 to do an address look up? How about if your sitting in a call center in India?
