Has anyone ever messed with Planet Audio amps?

A buddy of mine is looking for a cheap 2Kw @ 1ohm and a local pawn shop has one of these for $139, Do you think it puts out anywhere near the rated 2400rms?

Had 2 of the models that were before that one. They were legit for the price. Probably puts out around 2k. For that price its worth it.

Old school planet audio kicks azz. The only ones I would buy out the new ones are the big bang amps or the Rxd amps.

probably same board as power acoustic a3000db, plaent audio vx2200d, and many others, does 2000w or so, good for the price

Buddy of mine has a rxd2400 or something? It says 3000x1 on it and does 2400 @ 1 ohm, which is what hes pushing it at on a 15 dd, and that thing pounds, so i wouldnt hesitate buying one of those amps.

I have a vx2200d sitting on the floor burned up, I emailed planet audio about getting it fixed and they wanted $250 comes with a 1 year warranty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif I was like they are $280 on ebay refubished and have 2 years warranty, how about you send me the board cause all you are going to do is put a board in it. I've owned two of those 2400 amps. I had them pushing 4 DD 3515d's. that setup was sick. I also own a TT1250 I am trying to sell now

Wow i just actually re-read and looked at the link, and 140 bucks for that amp? Id buy it in a heart beat if i had the cash. That is cheap as hell for that amp.

Oh wow!

The one in the shop doesn't look good, it looks like someone put it in the dryer lol. But the owner let me hook it up today and it works perfectly.

Perhaps you could get it touched up and painted. That would still be one hell of a deal if it wasn't too costly to fix the cosmetic stuff.

Costly? Lol try $5

I know how to use a peice of sandpaper and some spraypaint.

Edit: There were a couple of dents too, probably just ignore those lol, its not for me anyway.
