hardly any output on subs..

i installed 2 subs and a mono amp recently and the woofers are hardly moving at all.. is it a wiring problem, an amp output prob, or is somethin wrong with the subs? i have all the rca's and wires hooked up to the best of my knowledge... dual 4ohm RE SE's to @ a 1ohm load to a orion 1200d.. pos to pos on each sub, neg to neg on each sub.. pos and neg wire from each sub to a terminal on the enclosure which runs through to the mono amp.. let me know if you have any advice!

Double check your amp speaker output wiring...most mono blocks put ++ together and -- together...unlike +- +- on standard amps....

check and make sure you dont have any filters on, on your HU and amp

well high pass is off.. the gain is like half way, if i max it (which i know is not good, it is louder, but i know not to do that..)

what about low pass? i remember when i first started car audio like 5 years ago or so i had my low pass turned up hella high and thought, man if this is how loud my sub woofers gonna get i dont even wanna know how much money those guys with loud system spend on theirs...

then i adjusted the low pass, and let me say, i felt like the biggest dummy ever. output was like triple lol. check to see that your around the 80hz mark. if your too high output usually goes down and youll hear vocals through the sub.

Does the amp have a voltage input switch? some amps have two settings

also just an FYI the 9835 has 4 volt preouts, and 50% up on the gain is most likely clipping. when i ran the 9831 and my friend ran the 9833 we both were around 1/3 of the way up on gain with different amplifiers. so there is a good chance your gonna be clipping the subs once you actually get up and running

is the subwoofer lvl @ 15?

nope sub level is like 6 and the x-over setting is at 6 db out of 24 db... there is no excursion at all, they just kinda vibrate...
