hardest sub

Really guys? I just deleted like 14 off-topic and/or non-serious replies in this thread this morning, and explained why... and I come back to find even more?
By all means, have fun... but dont do it at the expense of someone who came here for serious answers. Most people here know I like to joke around too. And a joke here or there in the tech section is one thing, especially if you make it clear you are joking... but filling a thread with them like this is not what the tech section is about. One more round of... friendly... deletions. One more.

Not trying to be a hard ass, but this is not the t-dome. You want to screw around, please take it there. Thank you.
Sorry. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Its cool, again I know nobody here meant any harm. Sometimes you guys just need a friendly reminder. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

First of all, wtf is a 70 peak to peak xmax (mm I suppose?) secondly what is 100.1db SPL? Is that supposed to be sensitivity? Not flaming the sub, but whoever wrote their advertisement and parameters on that website should have paid a little more attention to the specs and not just hyped it up so much.
Never mind; this review answered it all for me: Author: Jmiere DJ RUCKER

man i got 3 of these in a cadillac and i keep bussing my gas tank and as well as my windows...its truly the best....and i also got a very good deal on them...almost 30,000 watts of power beating my car apart!!!
xmax is defined as one-way linear excursion (in its simplest terms), so giving a peak-to-peak spec for xmax is misleading at best, and already puts a poor taste in my mouth for the product and company. Hell, if they are going to try and call xmax "peak-to-peak", they could be ignoring the 70% BL rating which is an industry standard, and actually be telling us it only has a 35mm one-way xmech.

What about transducers? I mean they are a more direct impact if attached to a seat as apposed to a more in the air impact...if that makes sense...but I noticed if used with a sub adjusted right it certainly makes it feel like it's hitting a lot harder.

I have them inside each of my car seats, back and bottom and it makes a great messager, lol

With some power they hit very hard, directly at least.

There is also the Phoenix gold cyclone which I think was a similar idea but never heard of anyone using it

A transducer is simply any device that transfer energy from one type to another. Speakers are transducers. You are referring to 'bass shakers' (brand name), which merely transmits physical vibrations to solid objects (as opposed to transmitting energy into sound waves). The PG Cyclone was not a bass shaker type device at all, it creates sound waves, albeit in a vastly different method than traditional speakers. Cyclones are a rotary style speaker, as opposed to the piston style speaker we are accustomed to.

Even the alternator in your car is a transducer, for example.

Ok, yes then I mean like bass shakers....is tactile transducer the correct word?. RF calls theirs an Ibeam I think. But for the cost and power their a good alternative to feel more bass IMO. I'd like to check out a cyclone, always wanted to anyway.

ok ill ask everyone this what sub in your opinion can handle the most power considering everything else is equal, what sub is nearly imposable to blow
I'm not sure what your looking for but any sub can be blown easily. Why are you concerned with what sub takes the most power? So much more to it then just power handling.

i was changing the thread topic a lil of course any sub can blow but some would die faster than others, this is why i said with all things being equal

this sub looks like it can handle some abuse
