Hard build for a beginner?

I recently changed my mind from two Alpine Type Rs 4ohm dvc subs to two Alpine Type Xs dvc subs. I am gonna power them with an Alpine MRP-M2000.

I'm thinking I'm gonna either need a new alt or a new alt and a battery. I have the Big 3 done with 1/0. Will that be sufficient? Just let me know, this will be my first install.

I think you'd be fine with just the big three and a new battery (depending on your current alt's output), but a H.O. alt is never a bad idea.

grab a 2400/2000/ or yellowtop and you should be ok on that.. hell, cram 1-2 hc600s in theback of your car.

So, is the h/o alt or the battery interchangeable in that equation? As in, could I get just a h/o alt, or do I have to have that and a battery? Because that amp does put 2000w RMS out.

Just do big 3 and batteries first, if you still have dimming and voltage drop, add the ho alt.

Well, that will do. I'm trying to find a Saleen Explorer to have instead of my piece of s*** 97 XLT. Saleen's explorer model is truly amazing. But yeah, I'm trying to make it into the local car club called "The Family". And that aforementioned piece of s*** won't do it. Plus, I think some subs would be more appreciated in a ride like that.
