H2 vs. Type-R vs. SX

Spkrman.. can you give me the details when you metered the Type R's? Where was the mic, were the doors opened or closed, if they were closed - were they windows up or down, car on or off? I can't deny the #'s you've putten up because you have proof, it just seems a bit strange that Type R's are louder than both H2's and SX's. Your installs are the only ones I've seen where the R's just crush every other subwoofer its put up against.

Maybe it's just me - when I heard 1 12" Type R ported, it had great SQ and got decently loud but nothing breathtaking. I have a hard time believing a 15" Type R can dominate a properly installed and powered 15" H2.

That's because you don't have a TCAB box. The type-r owns all in TCAB box's only............................................................................

guys learn how 2 build a fairly decent box for 1 and design to the sub and car, maybe u guys setups can pwn. juss cant say, oh ima build a 2cu box and 30hz and thats it. gotta put alot more into it than that and that wha makes the diff between setups. like i said, ive had all 3 in numerous boxes and the R came out on top. plain and simple. i would have kept H2s if they were more reliable. but R juss takes the cake.

Sblazer and Spkrman are right... the type R would kill the H2 and the SX with the correct install.

The type R is one the greatest subs ever... it can't produces ridiculous amounts of spl and a nice sq at the same time and let me tell you that that is very hard to find at that price.

if you have the room for the 12's, they will be louder.

Generally in a trunk, one 15 is the way to go/SUV 2 12's.
