Guitar Holder idea.

I have an old Crate Amp (It was part of a beginner's package my brother bought.

Kind of looks like that, except it's Red. I disassembled it and gave most of it to a friend (he painted his guitar Pink for a show, but lost a few pieces.) I was thinking about making it into a guitar holder. I was thinking about re-assembling it, putting a wooden block behind the pick guard, put one guitar mount there, one in the middle of the neck, and one at the end of the neck (with a brace / mount on the back side of the neck.) What do you guys think of this idea? I'm not even sure if it's worth the work, but it definitely would look good!

Pics can be assembled if necessary.

By the way, this will be mounted on my wall.

interesting... i'd stick a mount/brace behind the nick right were the guitar mount will be... other wise after a few weeks its gonna be a crooked *** neck with a guitar weighing it down.

other than that, gnarly idea

Yeah, I planned on putting mounting blocks right behind the guitar holder. The actual guitar will be nothing more than a vanity. The actual mounts will be drilled right into the wall.

I actually might put the Hercules mounts on the guitar. I'm not sure. I can make some out of 3/4" MDF, and it works really well. I use a jigsaw to cut in crevices where the guitar sits. But it's not as pretty as the Hercules mounts.
