guess this sub couldn't handle 3kw *pics* cool ones

You should've got a DD //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I got plenty of Subs to go around i just wanted to hook this sub up and run it for a month or so but i guess thats out of the question now

Take a Dmm and put it on the ohms section for mine its 200. Touch the probes (pos and neg) together to see what it reads because of the resistance of the dmm. Mine reads .4ohms

Next, wire up your sub (pos probe to pos of the sub) and (neg probe to the negative of the sub) Dont laugh at this sub either its my old one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

As you can see this read 1.3ohms on the dmm NOW subtract the .4 from earlier to the 1.3ohms from the sub and it is a .9ohm voice coil.

Originally is was dual 1ohms but after break in and all that stuff it is now a dual .9ohm subwoofer

egg

Just checked and it shows up as .1

of the dmm, it should have some resistance from the wires and probes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif even on my expensive clamp meter it shows a resistance

I had it on the wrong setting it shows up .1-.2 now

when doing resistence it is a must to change to manual not auto, auto will put out more resistence.
you can do it on auto as well just as long as you keep it on the auto setting for both readings you should get the same results at least i do anyways.

ive never blown anything, pushing anything that hard has got to be a bad idea.

not a waste of money, consider it an education //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
