guesstimateing that it was somewhere around 3k-3.5k but good callthats sucks. im sure the sub wasnt reciving 3.5k anyways. it probably rose a good bit so it blew off less than the 3.5k. oh well. dont know much about them. feel bad for ya though
DING DING DING!If you blew two subs up in a matter of 40 minutes playing time you should check the gains on your amp or something else. Could be clipping your signal.
tis but you can get a rough guesstimate with a DMMHow do you set the gains with a DMM. I thought the correct way was with an O-scope? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
there's a sticky on how to set gains. How do you set the gains with a DMM. I thought the correct way was with an O-scope? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
No i didn't check the resistance of the DMM it's one of my dad's hand-me downs but i believe he purchased it for like $200. But i would assume that it is pretty accurate. something worth checking inwhat amp was used?? also did you measure the resistance of the DMM?? on my Dmm the resistance is .3 ohms so on my subs it reads 1.8ohms on each coil but actually they are 1.5ohm to each coil //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif So you may of been running .3-.4 ohm to the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
