problem was a loose ground smh those darn ground wires!!

anyway fixed my ground and rode for 3 hours straight and neither amp went into protect and the lowest my voltage got was still 11.5.

4kw is well over 300 amps, and approaching 400 amps when considering your amplifier's efficiency.

Its easy to say "Im running X number of watts on my stock alt", but as Ive said many times before, just because you have a certain sized amplifier hooked up is no guarantee you are pulling that much current. There are a lot of factors that go into figuring your average current draw over time, which is what should be considered here, not some arbitrary number that your amplifier is advertised as producing in ideal circumstances.

I running about 180 amps on a 90 amp stock alt with a second battery in the back and my voltage drops to about the same as yours.

1200 watt sub amp = 120 amp fuse

600 watt highs amp = 60 amp fuse

so far my 100a alt has been stickin in there pretty good.

Still gonna upgrade when I can though
