Grounding second battery, questions

I need to ground my second battery, and the kinetik manual says its best to ground from negative terminal on battery to negative terminal on startup battery. does it really matter that much where its grounded? I always thought that grounding to the frame somewhere would have the same effect as grounding to the battery. The reason i am asking is if i have to ground to the battery, i need to buy another 20ft of grounding wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

ttt, gonna ground elsewhere if i cant get a reason to run the ground to the other battery lol. dont wanna spend that $50 if i dont have to.

I always ground the main battery to the second battery....

Dont you want your ground to be as short as possible??

Grounding to the front battery is the same as grounding to the frame.

I run Batcaps and that is how they recommend in their instructions....

Its just like how some people say "grounding the amp to the battery is the best". It all goes to the same place. The frame..

okay thats exactly what i thought, grounding in the back then with the extra 4ga from my sisters stereo. thanks for the clarification everyone.

Almost done with install! all wires ran, now i just need to finish up the box and wait for the Kinetik to get here......
