why is it better to individually ground your multi-amp system to different areas rather than to ground all your amps to a central grounding spot??
Huh. My wiring must really **** then. I have a 15+ foot ground for all of my amps. If your amps are in your trunk, yours probably are, too.The only situation I could see where it would be better to have multiple grounds is when you have amps in the cabin as well as in the trunk. A 10 foot ground isnt the best thing to have. But if the amp up front is small enough it probably wont matter.
I have installed my haeadunit and attached the ground under the dash, just wondering if it would help to do the other. Thanks for clearing that up.that is something different. it is best to find a spot around ur dash, that u can connect the ground wire too. quite recommended but u can always wire up your ground on the harness. As u can see, the wire that the headunit requires, is really small, so there wouldn't be as much affect as the grounds for the amps.

did you ground your amps to your battery?Huh. My wiring must really **** then. I have a 15+ foot ground for all of my amps. If your amps are in your trunk, yours probably are, too.
x2who said it was? find a good ground in your trunk and ground all amps to that spot
Yes, and so did you. The difference is that my ground is with a piece of 1/0 copper wire and yours is probably a foot of copper wire and 10+ feet of unibody steel. I'll wager mine has lower resistance.did you ground your amps to your battery?
