GROUND less than 18"

i want to put my amp into a false floor in middle of my trunk, and i know the ground wire should be less than 18"... but here's my question, where should i ground it to?

if it's in the middle of trunk, i cant have it flying all over the place and showing if i want a clean install, and still keep shorter than 18"..... where should i go with it?

I have a 4 foot ground, I feel it is more importent to ground it to the frame than be short like 18" although i always heard keep it under 3 foot not 18" that is bairly over a foot

ok, but it's best to have the ground as short as possible right?

is there any place near the front of the trunk (near latch above bumper) where i can ground it to? i dont know right now cuz my car is in the shop getting cd player fixed.

is there any recommendable spots on front of trunk? i wanna keep ground short as possible

this is audio voodoo. any benefit of a frame connection would be nullifed by the increased resistance in the extra wire.

Any CLEAN metal with a bolt connection will do
