Great amps for the 150 to 200 wrms range

I know that there are many amps in this range out there. I'm looking for the one that will only use about 15 amps and power a sub. I don't have a lot of battery power available.

vfl 1880 will give you alot more than 200 rms tho.and they are 40 amp fused i believe ,but if you run it at 2 ohms power for 500 watts rms it will use only 20 amps

How small of a gauge wire can I use. This is for a really compact project

its a 4 gauge amp ,and very tiny 6 x5 x 2, you can use a 8 gauge if needed.i have both in stock

8 will be fine ,but if run at 2 ohms not 1 ohm

The smallest mono amp I have is the Massive Audio BX2. 6.3" x 5" x 1.6" 480W x 1 at 4 ohms. It takes no larger than 8 ga power and ground wire. Off battery power it will make less power, of course, but it's very efficient.

There are several new compact amplifiers on the market that eliminated the old power supply design and have much higher efficiency.

RF has their PBR 300x1 or 300x4 versions that are a few years old now.

US Acoustics USA2100, can use 8 ga with it, and it'll put out a ton of power. I'd sell mine for 100.
