Got some metering done saturday night and...

when u open the doors there is a black cover on the door frame that leads to the back of the trunk. take some expanding foam and seal them. help alot. as for a vid can u wait tell sat. then i can do it and it can be a legit score. db drag rules though. car has to be off....ftl
how much do you think the expanding foam help out your scoring? I have a fairly large gap from the door frame to the back of the trunk and its just covered up by the trunk carpet

helped alot.the carpet will do almost nothing to direct the air to the cabin.

Are these scores with a window down? I heard you talking about it in the first vid, it would make much more since getting that loud with a window down.

Good scores either way though. I ripped out my BTL this past weekend, Im now running two 12" R's off my kx2500 temporarily. It feels almost as loud as the BTL, and if I was to guess since I dont have a meter, I would say its above a 145, but not quite a 147. But thats with a window down, and they are tuned at 34.

some were some wernt the 146.6 in the vid was with the car sealed windows up and doors shut. and the car off.
Ah I see. That makes a big difference so that could cause a little confusion. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

also is that how u meter at the headrest or is it done a different way?????
I couldn't watch the video because my internet is painfully slow today for some reason, but the way to meter at the headrest if you don't have a stand is to stick the sensor to the headrest somehow (rubberbands, tape, etc.) with the sensor "hole" facing towards the windshield.

You can do it on either seat. The loudest way is to usually have the opposite door open. For instance, if you have the meter on the passenger headrest, open the driver's door.

i held it in the center of both seats and the car was sealed and got a 143.3 so we will have to do it again some time to get the real score i guess.
