If you told the cops the same story you told here i think your stuck with the tickets. Shouldnt have said you were tapping the breaks...sounds like you were doing exactly what you were ticketed for.

If there was no damage what was supposed to happen to the other guy? If he did damage, or you got injured then he would be responcible for that. If not then he has a funny story to tell and you get fined.

I am going to be a dick here, but you drove like one and deserve the tickets. People like you make other people crazy, if you would have let him by he wouldn't have tailgated. Obviously from your reaction to him, you would have done just what he did to you. You both should be fined, him for following you carelessly close and you for driving recklessly. If you go after him for damages, he will show up in court and you will still be found guilty. And if there is no damage why the h*ll would you call the cops?

I did this years ago. I had a 99 cavalier z24 with NOS in it and this preppy kid pulls next to me in his aurora. So i start to take off and he is keeping up with me. I then punch it and he does the same. So I am like there is no way I can beat this car with out my NOS. So I decide to hit my 50 shot of NOS and blow his doors off. So now I am at another red light and he is pissed beause he just got ownt by a cavalier,lol! So I am turning and the light turns green and he decides to cut in front of the car that was behind me. So now I am pissed because he is acting like a jackass about this. So he tries to pass me on a 2 lane road and I am not letting him. I am now going through a neighborhood at about 70 mph, like a dumbass just to piss this guy off. So I am coming to a major bend and decide to try and take it at 50 mph. Well my brakes locked up on me as his did because he was going just as fast and we both slid into this ladys front yard. Well we took out her front porch she just built that summer. I had over 2500 in damages and his was worse than mine. We both just sat down when the cops came and were shaking our heads in disgust because we were acting like complete idiots. We could have friggin killed someone if not for killing ourselves.

So take some advice from me. It dosent pay to try and make yourself feel big because you wouldnt let him pass. Now you have to pay the consequences and move on and hopefully you learned your lesson. I do agree he was at fault, but you added fuel to the fire there. Im glad you got what you did, that was just stuoud, somebody wants to get passed you and you dont let them, then **** with them even more, i bet if you were 25-30 you wouldnt be doing stupid shit like that either
