Got my new car

x2, i have to agree on the statement of bagged vehicles breaking. with bags and a daily driver, you're GOING to have problems. if you cant fix them, a shop will **** you every time.
that being said, i cant wait to get my explorer bagged //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
But, but saywhat thinks is even safer having bags or hydros, cause you have a lower center of gravity. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I wish I could bag my focus, but I dont intend doing it anytime soon.

You are a complete moron if you think that it helps saftey. I swear to god I hope you never reproduce, because he/she would be an idiot too. Your like talking to a mentally challenged person. Actually I think they would make more sense. Also If my dad sucked so bad at it then why does he have people from other states come and have their car done by him? He has a pretty good rep with building vechichles with hydros. Also I was talking about florida's roads not where you live. I have lived in Florida and the roads there are like a mint condition classic car to our rusted out hoopties. Just a little analogy for you. Trust me our roads are 110% worse than most roads down south. Try dumping litterally tons and tons of salt on your roads and keeping them in good condition.
I said LOWERING the center of GRAVITY helps the control aspects of a car. If you argue that it doesnt over the car being at stock height.....YOU shouldnt reporoduce. Why in the world would mercedes/lincoln/range rover/volvo have air ride on NEW CARS if it wasnt SAFE. Hmmmm........

Where I live, the roads are terrible. You can argue they are better than yours but guess what...I couldn't care less. I never said your dad wasn't good at what he does now did I? Re-read that. I said him doing it for THAT LONG doesnt MAKE him good, he very well may be.....but something was faulty with your setup if you had to maintain it like you make it out to be.

Florida roads arent hardly "mint condition" at least Orlando's arent. Road-work non-stop through out Florida. I-4 has sections almost loose it's so bad. Miami may be different, but reguardless of terrain, you shouldn't have problems with EITHER suspension. Catapillar construction vehicles use hydraulics for a reason....it's reliable and VERY efficient/strong.

bags or hyrdro's arent safe. if a bag blows, u can lose control and die on the highway.
hydro's, u can catch ur whole car on fire lol.

nothing safe about that.
You can blow a tire/lose an axle shaft/pop a leaf spring/lose power steering/lose brakes or anything else in ANY CAR you can possibly drive..................cars PERIOD aren't safe. Your not raising the risk of injury because of your suspension type.

way greater chance of one of the components of the airride system breaking than a tire. ask anyone who has bags...i cant see how your going to argue a stock suspension is just as dangerous as one with airbags. esp. if your laying frame, that means you cut the frame. cutting the frame is NOT safe in any way. dont care how good of a welder you are. if it comes apart, your fked.

handling characteristics on a properly setup system CAN make a safer ride than stock if you lower the center of gravity....ANY engineer will tell you that. ANYONE with knowledge of cars period will tell you that. Ferrari's aren't 1 inch from the ground for no reason.

If y ou can't grasp that, im sorry. I never said it makes the vehicle itself safer......but i'd rather take a hard turn low, than take one up high.

i know its safer from that perspective, but we're talking about the overall suspension. having your suspension controlled by airbags that were welded to the frame, etc, if something comes loose, a bag blows, etc, thats not good. thats not gonna happen with stock suspension. there's really no argument there.

if your driving a blazer like a sports car around turns, you deserve to wreck and die. what your saying make sense, but not for trucks/suv's.

speed and aftermarket airbag systems dont mix. period. you dont bag sports cars, you rarly see lightnings/dodge ram srt10's on bags. you may see them lowered, but not bags.

you hardly ever see bagged TRUCKS or SUVS that have the power that sports cars have. if you do, theyre show trucks, not drivin.

again, if you bag a suv or truck and drive it like your in a corvette, you deserve to die.

/story.

i agree with you there......hell if you drive ANY car like a RACE car on public roads you deserve to die. fact of the matter is, if you install things properly, with enough clearance as to not rub anything, then you will have no problems with blown bags if your not locked up hitting pot holes. I would go to say that blowing bags is all for improper install or use. I've yet to hear a story of bag blowing that wasnt A) manufacturing default B)rubbing C)doing something stupid with them like riding around locked up and hitting a hard bump or too much pressure.

With a correct install, bags will last a LONG time. There are safety precautions you could take, like replace all bags every two years, or so many miles, check all your valves make sure they are still perfectly fine, its all about maintnance really, and that doesnt mean replacing shit when it blows up on you.

a bag could be faulty and blow though, even if its the best shop in the world installing it. its prally not as common, but it can happen...id say its more common than a tire blowing too.
i wouldnt say tire blow outs arent as common as bag setup malfunctions, but thats besides the point. fact of the matter is, is that no matter what scene you are into, things can happen with the equipment that CAN BE fatal, but more like than not, are perfectly fine for daily use.

buddies truck burnt to the ground from having a system in it, there has been a few of those the last couple years that have been reported...no tellin what we dont know about. Saying a car isnt reliable or safe because of it having air suspension is ignorant in the least. If taken care of, watched over, and installed properly (as with anything custom) it will be perfectly fine.
