Got my new car

atleast someone thinks logically. my god.

and to the guy up there that said bags and hydros cause problems........no. just no.

big rigs have been on air for a LONG time. from the trailor, to the cab, to the **** driver seat, there is air suspension on them. wheres the horror stories of big rigs falling apart because of suspension? The suspension isn't the weak point, it's the installer. The shop who did this has quite a nice name, and has come with a few vehicles that are really nice.

It's just as reliable as a blazer on springs im sure. Plus...if someone busts, the absolute WORST that it could be is a burnt compressor or blown bag. Easy fix...just a little cash.
Your a complete idioto! I mean way to quote someone that says its a pain in the *** to bag a blazer. Basically the same thing I said, but because he said he got a good deal on it you had to agree with him. No where did he say anything about bags and hydros not causing problems. I have had muti setups with bags and hydros and ran into problems with both. Also my dad did most of the work on that side of things and he has been doing bags and hydros for well over 20 years. It just comes with the territory around here. Our roads are pretty shitty here to boot and that causes lots of problems as well. Also your comparing a big rig to a car, which is a horrible comparison. Yes, they are on air bags, but completley different type of air ride. On cars we use them more on a daily basis to where trucks only use them once in a while when loading and unloading and when they park for overnight and such. When I had bags on my cavalier, I used them all the time and I did blow a bag. And isnt excatly cheap to fix, easy maybe, but not cheap. Then hydros can cause all kinds of problems from leaks to pumps going on you to 0-rings to batteries taking a crap. I was always having to fix something. Most well know people around my area with hydros always would be fixing something. Just kinda something that was almost a guarrentee. Then I ened up bending the frame, which was mostly user error, but shit can happen. Is not like it is the safiest form of driving. I loved it, but I will never ever own another hydro car in this state. Now maybe down in Florida or cail I would.

Your dad "doing the installs" for 20 years gives him no credit. I can do something for 20 years and still **** at it. Most of the well known people in your area have shitty setups it seems. We have crap roads here and my buddy lamont (who is a member here) NEVER has problems with his.

I quoted Jon because he said the thing wasn't built...at all. It has a bag job.....like every minitrucker has. Nothing to make it it's own by far. Fact of the matter is, a well done hydro or bag setup alters nothing safety wise, or reliability wise. If anything, lowering the center of gravity on a car makes it SAFER. The blazer needs a lot of love, hell the fenders are still in it...

If you guys want to get REAL into it... my buddy has a 2 door Blazer (lives across the street from me) and cannot hit a turn with much speed or else it feels like it's going to tip over. I just lift a side when turning and it stays right on the ground without any problems.

And your comments about a hobby not being safe bigbang is like me saying car audio isn't safe for your ears.

For anyone who says I can't wire my own system, you're a fucking idiot. I didn't wire it the first time, and I went back and rewired the whole **** thing myself. Also, before my system was really for sale, I went in the car, took it all out and packed it all up (batteries, amps, etc.) and changed my mind. I went back to the trunk and put it all back in and had no problems.

And if you REALLY think I'm unable to wire my system because the BTL blew, why don't you talk to the guys at Fi... the push terminals on one coil are backwards. I learned this after I reconed the sub BY MYSELF.

You are a complete moron if you think that it helps saftey. I swear to god I hope you never reproduce, because he/she would be an idiot too. Your like talking to a mentally challenged person. Actually I think they would make more sense. Also If my dad sucked so bad at it then why does he have people from other states come and have their car done by him? He has a pretty good rep with building vechichles with hydros. Also I was talking about florida's roads not where you live. I have lived in Florida and the roads there are like a mint condition classic car to our rusted out hoopties. Just a little analogy for you. Trust me our roads are 110% worse than most roads down south. Try dumping litterally tons and tons of salt on your roads and keeping them in good condition.

I suppose your right, cant really argue with that, but have fun dumping all of that money you make into that new ride. I see like a shit ton of threads of this and that and some more. I also said nothing about you wiring something, however I think you have had a lot of help doing things, which there is nothing wrong with that. Have to learn some how.

why are you even posting in my thread?
you say how i can't do anything myself, i tell you that i did a lot of shit myself... and you come back with want a cookie?
It was mostly directed at the last part, where you make it seem like a near impossible feat to recone a sub.

And just like with my friend not knowing what the hell he was doin, then learning to do shit himself im happy for both you and him. But the fact of the matter is you spent hundreds (thousands maybe?) on stereo equipment not knowing what u were doin with it.

No, reconing a sub was easy as hell... I only mentioned it because you put me in a category where people more likely than not will not even attempt a recone.

I knew what I was doing with it, I couldn't build the wall by myself and I didn't wire the subs/amps myself at first. And like I said, the push terminals are still on backwards.. so we can't really be blamed much for screwing up the BTL.

it has been my PERSONAL experiece that bagged minis require alot of money/work all the time. my friend has a bagged 2001, and he can only drive it like 5 days out of the year when its not snowing bc hes constantly breaking shit. maybe its subpar craftsmanship, maybe its shitty products hes using, but u have to think about it this way, when u got something like a bagged/hydro'd vehicle bouncin around all the time, it WILL cost ALOT more money to upkeep the maintenance on that vehicle

Thank you!!!

Now PM say whats dumb *** this!

Who said anything about you screwing up the BTL?

x2, i have to agree on the statement of bagged vehicles breaking. with bags and a daily driver, you're GOING to have problems. if you cant fix them, a shop will **** you every time.

that being said, i cant wait to get my explorer bagged //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
