definitely ditch the prefab for something custom and those numbers will go up. I did a 141 with a single 12 type R off 600 whats in the kick.

I do not compete either and have never had any of my systems metered, but, I think you scored well for the equipment you used.

your score is good. In Street1 class for meca (the division you should fall in) that score would do you well (even tho they measure at the headrest and u'd lose 2db). F all the bashers that are dogging your score, anything over 140db in the front of the car is respectable. You have plenty of room to improve too if you ever want to compete

I agree 100%. I never got metered till about two years ago (first and only time) and I hit 144 on the kick panel. 500/1 and two W3v2's. Just did it for the hell of it. Turned out to take seconed place at the particular event for my class.

It was pretty freaking loud, for an everyday car. Since I never drove with it turned up all the way like it was when it got metered, Id imagine the highest it got while I listened to it was upper 130's...which was still pretty dam loud too.

High 130's into the 140's is good in my book

yeah for sure. next on my list is the amp upgrade from a cadence thats only doing about 750 rms to a sundown 1500 d....that does like 1700....after that box etc.

Chaston Scarborough, AS1, If you look I also got Phat 12 which means loudest single 12" setup at the show. Type R 12, ported, wired to 2ohms on a Lanzar 1200d, seats folded down in the kick.

am i the only one with a trunk car where my seats dont fold down

the highes i did was 144.2 @ 42hz with 2 re se12's in a 4.5 cube ported box with 64.75 square inch port tuned to 33hz with 1 orion 1200d

subs and port facing up

i want to up my power to a sundown saz-3oood

i know i will gain by doing that and i never found my peak frequency so i need to find that and i should gain just from that alone

You can't automatically just guess 2 db. It doesn't work that way.

^ I'm aware of that, but even your numbers suggest that the kick and headrest score vary
