I have my system at almost max all the time in the city.. I turn it down if I see a cop though. At stoplights too..
Because you are drawing negative attention to the hobby. If it wasn't for all the wanna be thugs and punk *** kids driving around trying to make an entire neighborhood listen to the same song, the "noise ordinances" would not exist. The laws came straight from the need to regulated irresponsible drivers. And subjective or not, all you are doing is worming your way out of a ticket that you know you broke. You are just trying to find some loop hole in the wording of the law.How is fighting a ticket that was based on subjectivity instead of just taking it hurting car audio?

Wrong, every where you go has a noise ordinance. If kids systems are the cause why did my local RC track have to follow the countys noise ordinance for our offroad gas rc cars? Do to be under a certain decimal at the edge of the property or else they would kill our races for the rest of the nightBecause you are drawing negative attention to the hobby. Actually fvcktard... i was law enforcement for 8+ years, so how is giving subjective advice on a violation contributing to someone being a punk? You know the law. You broke the law. Pay the fine. Simple as that.
A few years ago a thread like this would be 5 pages full of people saying you broke the law and need to man up. You gotta pay to play.
Now it is a seems it is a bunch of people uneducated about the law and are just trying to weezle out of taking responsibility for their actions. It is people like that that are making the hobby of car audio illegal. Man up and stop being a punk.
I disagree, I see a kid who needs to learn some respect.thats not help, its actually opposite of helping so its thread dumping. Go to the dome to be smart ass

And yeah, it is a punk thing to do. Hell it has gotten so bad around here, i am almost a proponent for MORE laws against big systems. When i am in the drive thru and the order taker chick has to walk out the back door to take my order face to face because of some ******* punk behind me wont turn his horrible xplod setup down because he thinks it makes him cool.
There is a time and a place for everything.

and it's not noise violations aren't making the hobby illegal, special interest kooks who dont even want to hear a leaf blower or lawn mower from across the street are.

And just what personal right is being violated here? Your personal right to play loud music that can annoy others?Fighting a ticket is standing up for personal rights that are too often violated and people like you just sit back and take it. Now if it was a clear-cut violation, I'd have no argument what so ever against paying up. But with something like this, I'm all about standing up for your rights.
