Got a problem, I'm stumped.

So I told you guys what the deal was in my previous thread about my subs that my subs would go crazy and spaz out if you turned the volume up.

So...did a little tinkering. Pulled out the head unit (alpine 9884), and discovered that my problem seemed to be my sub out RCA jack. I'm not sure what it was, but it just wasn't sending signal. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

So i switch it to my other available RCA out, my front, and i've got to have the bass level and sub level cranked to even keep it somewhat even. Although it's not near the output that it should be...

SOOO, now everytime I stop turn the volume from 1 to 0, the subs, "pop". Then when I switch it back to 1, same thing. It also occurs when you switch the source of the music (Cd, Ipod, Radio) and when you turn the radio station.

I'm sure there are other little things I can't remember, but...any suggestions? Its gotta be my head unit, but it worked fine in my last application. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

My alpine 9884 had the same issue.

My front outs blew, so I had to swap to rear outs. I am debating on whether to send it in for warranty. One thing is, I am begining to lose my confidence in alpine.

That does not give me confidence.

are u geting any other issue with any othere speakers in your car? Are all the speakers in you car powerd by a amp?

All of them are powered by an amp, and no other issues so far. The rest of the speakers seem to be working just fine.

I would reset the deck by the front reset button try that I will still not go back to pioneer installed one yesterday thing failed 5 minutes after installed.
I was not aware there was a reset button, where is it located?
