eBay and paypal new electronics rule for sellers..

Not sure how many of you have sold audio or electronics on ebay as of late but as a seller you must front ALL money now for up to 21 days..

I found out I think Friday ebay makes paypal hold all money for audio and electronics sold on ebay now until the item is shown as getting there and/or the seller has left good feed back for you. I had something delivered yesterday and money was still on hold and it was sent out on Saturday and when I called they said if I want the money before 21 days I had to either get good feed back or call in to tell them customer has it. Other wise it would not release it for another 7 days. I was like WTF then another 3 or 4 days for it to get to the bank. So at best with out calling them you could send an item out and front shipping for up to 21 and at least 8 days for every item sold.

Now I have no problem with the rule, but I have to say it still kind of sucks at first.. There holding almost $2300 of my money right now and everything is shipped out on my dime.. Just kind of sucks.. Good for the buyer sucks for the sellers I guess. But at least I will fill all warm and fuzzy now buying on ebay.. lol

Just wanted to get other thoughts..

thats been in effect now for awhile.... but it was for only newly opened accounts or (heck) i forgot what else. I sold something about 2 weeks ago and they never held mine. Do u know if this is new new or what?

Yeah I ran across this issue. That is why I do not sell electronics on egay any more. All sorts of scenarios could play out. You send me product, I say product is fu cked up. Money is still in limbo, no thanks:crap:

I listed my item on ebay just now cause i had 3 days to get some cash, and i was lik WTF?

i wont sell on egay anymore if i can avoid it. i dont have a problem with the rule exactly. anyone here knows how i am about selling stuff and i have 100% on egay.

my problem is egay charges a listing fee + a fee if the item sells.

then paypal **** you a little more.

i may be mistaken but arent they run by the same people.

thats what i thought.

i know one of the vehicles i sold last year on there i got ***** bad on it.

came out to be like 5% total they took for all fees. or around that at least.

thats not counting the listing fee to get it on
