He had to pick someone. 1 cop can't exactly pull 3 people over, idiot. The point remains that he gave me a $260 ticket, my first ever. And I've been driving for 6+ years. He was a dick because there were two people that were driving the same speed, but he elected to give me the ticket. He was sitting in a 25 coming off a highway. He was probably sitting next to the first 25 mph speed limit, which I'm not even sure was there. Also, he was giving me the ticket as soon as he turned his radar on and put his donut down.
These are probably the same people who think random drug testing that they agreed to is a violation of their privacy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifHe had to pick someone. 1 cop can't exactly pull 3 people over, idiot.
LMAO! Way to keep food on the table of your peers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif It won't be that much cheaper. I'd rather just pay the ticket and be done with the nonsense. I was after all caught, and can face the consequences unlike some whiny ***** who feel the need to tell us every time they speed.do not listen to these fools who say just pay it...hire an attorney and don't be cheap. You will save alot of $ in the long run.
SNAP! I just highlighted the problem. No one does their job any more, why the fuck is he? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gifThis explains it. You are book smart!
You broke the law doing 71 in a 45 or a 25 whatever. Ever hear of a thing called a speed trap? Learn it and the learn from the mistake. The cop is doing his job and he gives you the lesser ticket and he is the dick? Humm...........
Also the whole why did you pull me over and not the others. Ah last time I checked, he is one person. So I am sure everyone is gonna see the lights and just pull over correct?
Just pay the fine and move on and learn from it.
Also the guy telling you to pay it is a future lawyer or something on those lines. So yeah.
The structure in your posts dictate otherwise. You sound more like a cocky SOB who thinks he can just do shit and never pay consequences if he whines enough.I think he's a future financier. i have the lowest insurance rating possible. this will **** it up. + $260. i'm not going to hire a lawyer. i was a paralegal for a year, i have enough pseudo-court experience as is. i'm well-pronounced, articulate, and i know a lot of big words. i would do fine in court, if i had the right angle...so that's what i'm looking for. and, just the fact that the cop might not show up is reason enough for me to challenge this. so, for those of you that think i should pay it--wake the **** up. or send me money.
When I got a ticket recently(first one in 11 years) I went in and plead no contest. Judge waived adjudication and school and made me pay just the fine. So no insurance hike no school to attend or pay for, nothing. Just went in and basically said "ya got me" like any mature adult should do.My question is, what if the cop shows up with the paperwork, and he shows up with a lawyer?
What is his defense going to be? Odds are he'll be stuck with at least a court fee on top of his lawyer fees and that's if he doesn't get stuck with the ticket. The only benefit I could see coming out of this is that his insurance rates may not be affected.....MAY.
But I guess thats enough for some people. I myself would just pay the ticket and then go to traffic class or whatever so my insurance rates don't go up.
You've got to understand what the majority of this forum is......like any mature adult should do...
wow, you were a paralegal for a year... suddenly an expert then. oooh nooo big words, whatever will any poor person do that is against you in court //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gifI think he's a future financier. i have the lowest insurance rating possible. this will **** it up. + $260. i'm not going to hire a lawyer. i was a paralegal for a year, i have enough pseudo-court experience as is. i'm well-pronounced, articulate, and i know a lot of big words. i would do fine in court, if i had the right angle...so that's what i'm looking for. and, just the fact that the cop might not show up is reason enough for me to challenge this. so, for those of you that think i should pay it--wake the **** up. or send me money.

I know here, and for most professional police organizations, you SHALL be present for all court hearings, so dont bet on him not showing up. And I'll tell you what, 1 yr of paralegal SECRETARY experience or not, a police officer that's worked in the same jurisdiction for more than a year, and has represented himself in a professional manner should have earned the respect of the corresponding jurisdictional judge/justice etc. Some punk kid that tries to fight a properly executed traffic arrest with big words and "vast experience" is laughable, why not take your head out of the clouds. If you actually act like a normal human being, before the trial, ask the officer if he would mind letting you plead guilty to a lesser offense. Most officers will not care too much about it, they arrested you, got credit for the citation and will get a paycheck one way or another.
Or go in there and throw big words around, get PWND by a veteran police officer and pay more money... I could care less either way.

Wouldn't the lawyer cost more then the ticket though? Or are they working for that cheap these days? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.giflast time I checked your major had NOTHING to do with the law, so you can get an oscar by reciting a great speech and chances are you get owned in court. You think judges and court magistrates were born yesterday? Hire a laywer...last time I'm saying it.
