Good Value 8" Sub off ~500w?

Friend is looking for a little bass in his new 05 wrangler rubicon. Judging by looking at his "trunk" area, he can really only fit a 8" woofer in there. He doesn't want to spend that much, he will need a LOC, amp, wiring kit and sub (I'll build enclosure and install).

~$100 for a sub is a good starting point. I looked at a 8" L7 for him, which is $100 and takes 450wrms.

Any other ideas?

i would go with the kicker L7 8. but if he wants to save space, TC 1k

the L7 needs 1cu ft for ported. He may just do that.
