Good Speakers for my car

I'm looking for some new speakers for my car. I need 4" by 6" in the front and 6" by 9" in the rear. It's a 2 dr 2000 Grand Am. Does any one have any suggestions. I plan on putting in a sub later. I'm just looking for good quality sound not too much thump. -Katie

How do you plan to power these speakers? Do you have an aftermarket head unit? an amplifer? What's your budget?

Kicker has some nice 4x6's with directional tweeter. Kenwood has some nice 6x9's that aren't very expensive.

My HU is an Alpine CDA-9813. I didn't plan on putting the amp in till I got the sub this summer. I was looking at no more than $300 total for the front and rear speakers. I was looking at no more than $400 total for the amp and sub later on if you have any suggestions now.
