Good set of work boots?

I ended up going with a pair of Redwings and after wearing them for alittle while now I can say you guys are right. Not cheap but well worth every penny //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I've been racing motocross for years and always had the best boots but never got a really good pair of work boots.

I used to use Wolverines but after paying $100 and have them only last 6 months I switched to brahama's (walmart) and have been wearing them for the past 2 years. I'll usually wear them for 8-14hours a day with total comfort. They have held up a hell of a lot better then boots 2X their price.

Just a thought...

I can't believe nobody's mentioned Caterpillars. I have worn CATs faithfully since before I needed a work boot. They are comfortable before break in, and even more comfortable after. They last forever. I replace them once they start to look ragged, but they are still super comfortable at that point, with no signs of falling apart.

They do get a little warm when you're in them all day, but I doubt many work boots breath well. I would also recomend getting a set of kevlar laces, since I haven't seen a pair of work boots keep laces more than a few months.

I've always worn Timberland Pro boots and they have been good on my feet, only issue I had is the outside split on the right foot where it creases from stepping (kinda defeated the whole waterproof deal) I don't think I have ever heard of anything bad about Red Wings though. My dad tried out Chipewa boots after hearing good things and they lasted fairly long but didn't wear well and were extremely uncomfortable near the end, dad said he continued wearing them though due to their much higher price and not wanting to give up on them when they were still in one piece lol.

if they dont have to be lace ups, id suggest rocky branson ropers...looks awesome and feel great, they are about 140. i paid 120 for my ariat ropers and they are alright. but i think the best deal is my current work boots. i payed 75ish shipped from oklahoma they are black double H cowboy boots and they are GREAT right out of the box. i just wish i would have got a 1/2 size smaller.

My company buys me a new set every year and I've tried just about everything available, including Redwings. To me they were very uncomfortable, but a lot of people swear by them. The most comfortable boots I have worn were Timberland Pro followed by Caterpillar. I've had my current pair of Timberlands for over a year and they are still very comfortable and have held up very well.

That's how I roll.
I'd wear this, but I don't want a 3,000lb pallet falling on my toes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I need some new steel toe work shoes dangit, but i'm lazy to buy some.
