//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif)I guess I'll throw my 2 cents in. Someone already posted Iron addicts forum. IMO, best site on the web for BB information. Bodybuilding.com is basically the web equivalent of here in terms of bb info, no offense to caf. However, you will get alot of flaming, alot of misinformed opionions and only a few knowledgable individuals. Iron addicts is closer to DIMYA or ECA. Anyway, read up on there all you can, but I'll help you some with basics.
1.Train for strength, not size. Stick to heavy weights in the 8-12 rep range. 2-4 sets, depending on your recovery, but less is often more.. Stimulate, not annihilate. Volume training doesn't work for everyone but it's pretty hard to bench 300 and not have big arms. Plus if you cannot bench 300lbs squat 500 and deadlift 600, you have alot of gains left in the stregth area anyway, might as well take advantage of them.
2.For dieting your main goal should be 1.5x your weight in lbs in protein every day. If you can't do that at LEAST get 1x your bodyweight. To figure out what your eating setup an account at
http://www.fitday.com and log what you eat. You'll probably find you don't each at much protien as you think and that you dont' eat enough in the first place.
3.Eat smaller meals more often. It keeps your metabolism high which helps counter weight gain. In addition, your body needs a constant stream of protein to grow, not a huge dosage followed by 8hrs of starvation. It's like taking medicine, you dont down an entire bottle of pills to instantly cure a sickness. That'll just waste it (and probably kill you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif)'
That's the biggest basics other that that just read and bring any specifics here or to IA's forum, odds are you can find what you want if you search.
