Is a HIFONICS BXI1606D MONO 1600 CAR AMP good decision to power two(2) Alpine Type R 12" DVC 2 ohm...

no. that amp does the power you want at 1ohm, and with a pair of dvc 2ohm subs you'll want that power at 2ohm.

if the subs are dual 4ohm, then an amp that'll do the same power i suggested above but at 1ohm.

A Hifonics BXi2006D would be a good choice, but it's goin' to take a big chunk of cash, for a new one.

well ..... im kinda new to the whole audio thing and hella tired of my stock system so finally trying to get some beat

ive just been lookin on ebay doin hella research... and im pretty solid on two 12" Type R 2ohm or 4ohm (not sure)

but as for the amp ... idk $275 or less

both subs are 300-500 rms with 1500 max .... so does that mean i need an amp that does 1000 rms but at what OHm....

my brother had 1 Type R 12" in a 96 Bronco XLT and it slapped ... so thats why im pretty set on the R's

always look at rms, never peak. and i used to have r's myself and they can handle a bit more than rms. about 700w to each is perfect, more maybe if smart with it.

as far as an amp goes, pm me and i could probably get you hooked up with an amp for them. new with warranty in your price range.

Get 2 Type R's dual 4 ohm. Then get the BXi1606. You'll be happy.
