Dad's hand-me-downs eh?i have never golfed however i do have ping irons and callaway drivers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
i really need to start
are those irons ok?? they just seemed really cheap for what the are, and i dont wanna end up bending a shaft or some sh!t..I would go with these because you have a choice in loft and flex for your fairway wood from rockbottomgolf.com. I prefered the wedges with the black finish because of no glare.

The adams irons are just as good as any other. If you break one of those, you'll have broken any other brand. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifare those irons ok?? they just seemed really cheap for what the are, and i dont wanna end up bending a shaft or some sh!t..
As for the woods.. im really stuck between the callaway x and the adams hybrid 3 .. Only 50 bucks but how does it compare to a standard 3w
oh, no im not talking about the hybrid 3 iron.. Im talking about this one.. I think i found it new on ebay for $89The adams irons are just as good as any other. The hybrid 3 is made to replace a 3 IRON, not a 3 WOOD. A 3 wood usually will go quite a bit farther, anywhere from 30-50 yards.
Your are comparing two different woods. The Callaway is a fairway wood and the Adams is a hybrid type wood. The Callaway will go farther and lower than the hybrid . I have both a 3 wood and a hybrid, I took by 5 wood out and replaced it with a hybrid.oh, no im not talking about the hybrid 3 iron.. Im talking about this one.. Actually, the adams fairway he linked to is a hybrid-fairway. It's adams version of a 3 wood.Your are comparing two different woods. I agree with you. We can talk golf all day but we can't see your ball flight and can't really recommend what is best for you. I can only give you my best opinion based on what was offered. I was into all the technology and hype but everyone has a different swing and not all clubs will work out.Adams irons ftl in my opinion.Adams 3 wood/hybrid soso.
Taylormade R7 clubs ftl in my opinion.
everyone of thoze putters you linked do NOT i re-peat DO NOT have a low bounce high roll ability as claimed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
I play henry-griffitts Iron and Driver with a cobra 20 degree baffler and a un thought of MacGregor mini GT putter (low bounce high roll)
When you gain experience and can properly control the flight pattern of the ball, any clubs with un-even weight distribution, such as most new taylormade irons and drivers and many other companies with removable weights, you will wish you had spent better money on clubs the first time.
In all honesty being a leisure player is great but leisure time is supposed to be fun, playing a bad round CONSTANTLY due to wrong club selection sucks. SO take it from me please, go see a golf pro at your local course and have him analyze your swing with a set of their generic clubs they have on hand. Then have the instructor point you in the right direction in your budget range, Because honestly nobody on here can recommend you the right set of irons/driver/putter because we dont know your swing style habits or distance.
