Going from 4 des ethos to 8 should I recone the old ones.....?

Ok guys about to start my 4th order build in a few months probably be a long build

8 dss ethos 15s

4 taramp 8ks

4th order in a Tahoe

Questions is when I get everything finished since I will have 4 new subs should recone the old ones or just go with it. What do you guys think or would it even matter?

I would probably just break the new ones in good first than put in together

That's why I went with 8 cheaper subs instead of getting four beefier ones now and four more later.

I feel like it wouldn't be cost effective to recone them. If you could swap the new ones in and break them in hard before doing all 8, I think that would be a good idea.

If you've got something to pull T/S specs, you could see how different they are.

Just free air the new ones for 10mins and loosen the spiders up. No need to recone 4 woofers for no reason.

That's what I'm thinking just break new ones in. I've had these in since October and they are still stiff. They handle that 8k I got like it isn't nothing. Yeah I'm happy going the cheaper route because if i didn't I wouldn't have ever tried the ethos and I am very impressed with them. As far as subs that are comparable to them I put them right up there. Great bandwidth power handling and cooling. I'm happy with them. I just wanna see what I can pull out of a term lab. Only local guy here that does sound offs has an audio control. From past experiences I feel with it and term lab I feel 153 give or take sealed at 45hz on the dash so I can't complain
