1khz is used because most amps are rated @ 1khz...so just set your gains with NO crossovers on, then add the crossovers...got the speakers in today but didnt get the xover installed or anything hooked up yet. i woke up at 5pm lol. if it doesnt rain tomorrow ill finish the rest.
what test tone should i use to set gains though? ive always used 1khz for speakers, but obviously that wont work for the tweets in an active setup. will 1khz work for the mids? and what should i use for the tweets? and do you know where i can get the tone?
wtf are you talking about preston? i think you got me confused with one of the ***** you were *** f*ckingi told you, stupid fuck. dont spend your money on a h/u. go with some sort of factory integration/processor.
and here you are, months later... asking for?
Set the crossover on high pass instead of bandpass and the switch to x1 silly.that wont work. there are gains on the xover too...how am i supposed to get around that?
oooooo ok //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif thanxSet the crossover on high pass instead of bandpass and the switch to x1 silly.
Then both the front/high and rear/mid outputs will only be high passed at whichever frequency you choose...once you set your gains, switch the crossover back to bandpass and the switch to x10...
Are you always this paranoid with everything you do? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifd@mnit im too scared to use this thing without knowing what the increments are on the filter's knob! i dont want to fry my comps again. and memphis isnt getting back to me! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
lol youd be paranoid too if you had to wait 6 months for repair. i know i can set the tweeter at 4kHz but i dont think the the mid should go that high. Are you always this paranoid with everything you do? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Just turn it ALL the way up to 4khz and be done with it...you can always lower it later on when you get more experience...
