choice of shallow tens

alright so i've been lurken around here for a while and decided that i should finally post up. reason being that i have up to about 4.5'' of mounting depth to work with and i need to find two tens that can handle somewhere between 350-400 rms that are dual vc 4ohms.

i've never used poweracoustik so i don't know anything about this company. the description doesn't have a mounting depth either but it says that they are shallow mount in the pdf file so hmmmmmm

these look pretty **** good except i can't find them ANYWHERE. have a feeling there going to be pretty pricey though but oh well.

heres the shallow mount kicker. kinda looks like a butthole though. its single VC but i can get it at 2ohms and be fine.

so those are the only ones i know of right now that fit what i'm looking for. if you know of any other sub that would work let me know.

The CVT's all the way man. I've seen a pair of 10's off a zx400.1 and it shocked me how well it sounded.

I ordered 2 of the Sundown SD-1 v2s. They're on sale but they're right at your limit of 4.5 inches deep.

What kind of sound are you looking for? What is your budget?

Can't go wrong with kicker IMO. Always quality stuff, build wise. Power Acoustik is not a well accepted brand on this forum as far as subs go. I have owned a couple and they performed well, but don't expect anything great. Decent budget subs. RE audio is always a good choice, but pricey.

I second the notion of the Sundowns. They meet your depth requirements, they're the correct impedance, they're on sale for $150 each shipped, and they fit within your depth requirements.
