gm electrical?

actually just about all the american cars have pretty good electrical. Go get a hyundai or volkswagon which has a 80 amp alt that does about half that at idle then come back here and ***** about american cars having bad electrical. You also have to understand that manufacturers put the bare minimum in the car that it needs to run. American made cars give you a little extra but not imports.

i would have to agree imports have the worst electrical way worse than american made ... my car came stock with a 120a alt stock and a dam beefy electrical system ... also complaining bout an escourts electrical is your first problem .. hell it prolly doesnt even have 50lbs of metal in that car lol

mine has a 120amp too, cant say much for the 8awg factory wires though but of course that is all upgraded, shit I work at a Dodge dealership, the new minivand have 180amp alts, not huge compared to a HO alt but HUGE compared to most factory alts.

 
im sure it will be better but i bet at night you are gonna see the headlights dim. I personally think yellowtops are overpriced, there are other batteries out there. I personally like Deka Intimidators, or if you have a Car Quest near by get a NGT Extreme which is a relabled Deka

edit- I picked up a http://www.remybattery.com/Products/Deka-Intimidator-Battery---9A78DT__9A78DT.aspx across town for $120 from a local battery store that is a Deka dealer, thats what I have underhood, none in the back right now, I get some voltage drops with my headlights and foglights on slightly below 12v, Im runnin 1600w but have a class a/b amp so its a current hog though

 
why most gm electrical ****?i have a ford and it sucks my last car a buick it was bad to . these cars cant even handle 600 rms of there stock electrical. from what i read on the net the big 3 helps the gm cars so much . there trucks oem stock set up is pretty good. any one think there is some truth to this that the big 3 helps the gm pretty good
Yes we are suppose to design electrical systems in vehicles for the less then 1% population who wants to run excessive audio equipment.

 
i got a ford with a 130amp alt and no big 3 done since i didnt have enough wire after today, and i have a gold duralast upfront and a stinger spv70 in the back and at idle full tilt with lights on and ac i am getting around 12.7volts in the rear battery and thats running 2200rms

will do big 3 in a week or so

 
Yes Deka intimidators seem like a good deal. 100 amp hours for ~200 shipped on the internet. Closest thing is Kinetik 1400 for ~210-260 shipped on the internet or 229 from the absolute cheapest local dealer.

Im gonna invest in a few dekas and whatever fits in the front.
