gm electrical?

why most gm electrical ****?i have a ford and it sucks my last car a buick it was bad to . these cars cant even handle 600 rms of there stock electrical. from what i read on the net the big 3 helps the gm cars so much . there trucks oem stock set up is pretty good. any one think there is some truth to this that the big 3 helps the gm pretty good

I used to have a corsica.. 105 amp alt... stood up fairly well to constant full tilt with 1200+ watts plus extra amperage draw from other accessories with an interstate battery and big three done in 4 awg.

I had a small *** ford with a 130 amp alt and it handled the same setup without the big 3 or interstate....

Im pretty much in the same situation... im pretty close to having my setup ready for install, but my car has a lot of miles on it. So im staving off the purchase of a HO alt to see if its absolutely necessary for my setup. I fear it may be. But even batteries can be thrown in the next ride.

YEAHHHH that what i saying bro the same thing we dont wana spend money on a alt and be like **** it the car is no good and end u selling for like 20 bucks or somthign stupid. that why me and my mom fighting right now. she dont want me to spend any money for the car. she dont understand the extra batts and wire and amps and subs can be put in to another car/truck or if needed sold

ahhaha i know with the big 3 done in 1/0 ga i might be good. i was looking over the stock wires there not to small but the 0ga will be pretty bad ***. i hope it helps with 1600 rms ahahha if can stay around 12.4 at idle with my lights on that good. when i keep my lights off just siting im around 13.5. i had my system checked the othere day i was doing 14.3 . that with a motorcraft batt. this was all with my old system about 600 rms oem batt and stock wires

what size was the alt again.. should handle 1600 with big three and upgraded front batt... back batt will overkill it. But your gonna find you need a highs amp... so plan ahead //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My problem is 5k rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

75 amp alt that could not handle 600 rms . My electrical checked out fine when i had it tested. i dont wana do a back batt it would put more a strain on my alt . Ill just get a ho alt and run more rms then. And as far as a high amp my last car i had 2 pa horns off of 400 rms it was sick. just to much highs. so im going for bass. nice front speakers open port in the back that it.

the electrical in my grand prix is perrtty good i think. i have 900 watt RMS and no dimming and it stays at 14 volts at full tilt. well see how it last with a hifonics 2008D

actually just about all the american cars have pretty good electrical. Go get a hyundai or volkswagon which has a 80 amp alt that does about half that at idle then come back here and ***** about american cars having bad electrical. You also have to understand that manufacturers put the bare minimum in the car that it needs to run. American made cars give you a little extra but not imports.

edit, it was a ****en escort, what really did you expect?
