Give me some comment i just tested a subwoofer i am producing

Here is The Lastest test report - for the Beta Sub

Tested on 1012.5 watt rms - 1250 watt rms

50mm Voice coil

4ohm DVC - 1 speaker test

Power 12.8v- 14.1 v

Average output ACV 45V -50V

Duration : 249 Second

Report

56 second into test The sub start to give off Odd smell .

90 second into test Smoke start to Appear

249 Second into test Large amount of smoke appear

But speaker is still operating as per normal -Without failure

Anatomy

Voice coil damage

Reading show below 2 ohm result on the voice coil .

Damaging the single component

p=v*v/r P=50x50/2=1250W 1250=IX50 I=1250/50 =25 amp

Tested on 1250 watt rms of power

The last test

About about 900 rms .

The Speaker operated 120 min ( estimate time ) before smoke start to appear

but the speaker is still operational

i will do more adjustment

For a Start the Goal of a 600 watt Rms SUBWOOFER had been reached

I think a video would add greatly into the credit of this sub.

Seems as if you have made it much farther than I thought you would. Congrats.

so as a playful playful kids as i am .. i think is just a good fun and or a laugh to make the magnet in sweet red to show that i am going to make a 1000000 rms sub whahahah

rest assure that my focus is the outcome of the sub as well as the balance and performance of the woofer.

many test still need to be done and more adjutsment before i can say i got something .

now is just what i call a few lucky test result .

i will do more test and i want a stable result .

Back to topic , while trying to have a classic look , i am keeping the outlook of the woofer really simple , The focus had been place more on the parts , with the performance result ,

Eg . i hope i spell it right .

The choice of the Cornex spider that is made by Dupont .

Different type of Glue ( adhesives ) from bostik Aerospace grade

The joy of the process come from . the selection of parts and designing the result

customizes it - is like a process of controlling sound .

which give you so much fun .

i am learning daily on and my knowledge is still limited - but is this learning and feeling process that is fueling me on

I will be collecting The prototype subwoofer tomorrow .

air cargo to me . cos i can't wait -

3 set of component .

this is the few prototype i had produced .

i will see i have enough time to run a BREAK in process for the 12 inch .

Good New , The Sub is not shipped to MY home in Thailand ,

the custom proof to be slightly more tricky then i imagine .

but all go well and i will start the Car installation test -

MY coolix pix DIgital cam can do short video clip but without sound . will try to get some photo and video clip up ..

Been very busy - and also testing the sub more ,

Will be doing a fiber glass project and installing the Square sub into my project card

I have also set up a website and will do up a photo log for for the fiberglass project and all future project
