I had the same mindset as you up until my sophmore year in college... honestly just get laid a few random times and your whole outlook on it will change. Just try and go have some fun, get drunk and get laid at random parties FTW.

ask her about her boyfriend, see how she responds.. if she responds a lot with anything to do with them fighting or things not being the same, or if she trys to change the subject, then you know she has somewhat of a thing for her. if she starts talking about him and talks to you about any problems they are having or asks advice about anything pertaining him, then you guys aren't gonna be going anywhere beyond friendship for a while at least. if thats the case, give it time...

Uhhhh, aren't you like 18 or so? You shouldn't be thinking about "finding one that you trul, honestly, love and care for because she is the bestest person in the world".
