Well, ive posted here and other forums a few times, and seem to get little help. Everytime people recomend me brands and such for my needs, i look and find some stuff that looks good, only to find out that it is sh*t.

Can some kind soul please help a brother out here.

Im looking at a complete upgrade to my stock system (sub(s), front component speakers, a 2 channel amp to power em, a mono amp for the sub(s), and a new HU), and a sub enclosure. I am on a budget, i cannot justify more than $800 on this. My birthday is next month, so i could just ask for some audio stuff as well.

I drive a 2000 Mercury Mystique (rather large trunk), listen to everything but mainly crazy metal and sick rap.

This is my first system, so i know very little, but i have been trying to learn, and reading as much on here and other places as i can.

As far as needs, i would like it to sound good, but still be able to get loud.

Oh, and my HU needs to be able to play my ipod, and a USB would be nice.

Also, Links and spesific products ould be GREATLY appreciated.

Please somebody help me.

Thansk in advance for those who help.

for components i would get a set of phoniex gold rsd6.5s great for the money. amps are something you wouldn't skip money on. subs well get a kicker, jl, mtx, i'd personally go with a memphis. do you research on amps to find one that matches the speakers and subs you have. hopefully others will chime in with more help. but the most important thing is making sure you have large enough power wire to push the amps. as for a head unit just get a alpine, kenwood, or pioneer unit with a usb plug

$800 will be tight to upgrade entire system w/o using some crap

just the way it is

go for quality in the front stages and sacrifice money for the rear

look into Memphis pr series for entire set up will prob run you a bit more than $800 but will be well worth it and can be sold or traded as complete set

that car has 6"x8" alla round so id go with 6.5's in front and smash somre 6"x9" in the rear deck unless you have the one with door spekers instead of rear deck then just use 6.5 coax in rear

pr 6.5 comp $160 ish

pr 6 x9 rear deck $115 ish (6.5 coax $95 ish)

pr 200.4 $250 ish

pr 500.1 $275 ish

2 pr 10d4 $100 ish each

wiring kit 4 gauge w fuse and terminals $80 ish

distro block $15 ish

box pre fab $100-$125 ish custom tuned to your specs $125-$200 ish

not to mention for the type of music you are gonna listen to prob should up grade to the mc series sub or some thing simular

and that's all w/o labor so even that well rounded budget system would run $1000-$1200 plus labor

if you want you could find it cheaper but you get what you pay for

hell drive down here i'll do it for a grand all new equip lol

Mb Quart dsc4125 for front stage.

Mb Quart DSC 1000.1 for subs.

PRECISION POWER PPI 356CS 6.5 speakers.

You can find a nice deck for like 150$

RE SE 12s, or something simmilar.

Should be able to get all of that for like $800

rd audio 55.4 is a good quality amp.. heres a used one for $140. nice clean ab powerhttp://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=424790&highlight=55.4

would be a really good amp to run an active set up off of.

RD audio 850.1 sub amp.. also a good amp $570 msrp heres a used one on the forum for $165 actually puts out close to 1000 watts(so i've been told).http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425747&highlight=850.1

up to $300 right now..

10" baby mags right here.. amazing deal on these subs.. they can get low and sound great doing it..would be a great match up for the rd amp as they are 400w rms each. $150 plus shipping.http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=415655&page=4&highlight=baby+mags

up to $450.

Pioneer DEH5800MP with Aux input has 3 sets of pre-amp outs so it'd be perfect for the 4 ch rd and the mono rd. $140 shipped. http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15329

up to $590 dollars

DD components $90 http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425930

total of $700 come in under budget so you can still get a box built and still buy install equipment.. and contact scottiej for wiring.. has a bunch for cheap!

I was actually just thinking.

Is there any way i could just get sub(s) and a mono amp and a HU, and just leave in my stock components for now and run em off the HU's power?

They dont sound too bad, and im a newb so porbley wont tell the difference right now anyway

You want help? Here I'll give you some. Get the front right before you start on the sub stage. The subwoofer is the last thing to incorporate. I'll never understand why people do this. $2000 sub stage and a $50 front stage. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
