general questions...

This is a component setAlpine SPR-17S (spr17s) - 6-1/2" Component Systems - Sonic Electronix

These are regular "coaxial" speakers.

Alpine SPR-17C (spr17c) - 6-1/2" Speakers - Sonic Electronix

Alpine is a good brand. Adding an amp to run speakers is never a bad idea because it allows you to have a more control over how they sound/how loud they get than just running them off of the head unit.
Fix your links.

Components have the tweeter seperate with an included crossover so you can install the tweet in a seperate area to change the point from where the sound is delivered while co-axials are all self contained. An amp will give you better crossover controls, better power and more power. It is always better to run an amp, add a little head room so you dont use clipped power, if your speakers say 100 rms then buy a 150 rms amp.

What's wrong with them?
