Gain tuning my amp w/ sub?

New to a sub/amp combo.

My amp is putting out 200w rms in bridged mode.

My sub is rated at 250w rms. (single 10" alpine type e)

Since the amp doesn't put out the full potential wattage the sub is capable of, do i crank up the gain to max?

How do i know where to set the gain?

multimeter. set it with a multimeter.

theres videos on youtube how to set up youramp with a multimeter. it leterally takes a few minutes. and a little bit of basic math as well.

Yup use a multimeter or set it just below where you hear audible distortion
