Future build questions

Planning on doing a new build this spring, I'm thinking of doing a bigger box and the port going out of my armrest in the back seat.

I should have 4-4.5cuft. Would 4 8's really be better than 3 10's and so on? Everyone talks about cone area, I really don't see 4 8's being better. Or 2 12's, if I'm wrong let me know but I'd also like some suggestions on what I can work with. They will be running off a dsp3000 but I'm sure that will change too by then lol

Fewer higher quality woofers to get to the same cone area would likely be best.

3 10" = 235" cone

2 12" = 226" cone
